Yokohama
Long-tailed ornamental developed in Germany from Japanese Minohiki-type birds imported through the port of Yokohama. Cocks carry saddle and tail feathers several feet long. Walnut comb and small body.
Long tails demand high, clean perches and dry footing, which mud season makes hard. A covered run is required through a wet winter. Feed extra protein during molt to regrow the tail.
