Pekin Bantam

Also known as: Cochin Bantam, Pekin

Round, low, feather-footed bantam called Pekin in Britain and Cochin Bantam in the US, though the lines have separate histories. A walking teacup of fluff in dozens of colors. It goes broody well and makes a good pet.

Keeper's notes

Foot feathering and low carriage mean mud misery in wet climates. Covered runs and deep dry litter are the fix. Watch for scaly leg mites hiding under foot feathers.
