Lamona
Harry Lamon built it at the USDA experiment station in Beltsville, Maryland, from Leghorn, Plymouth Rock, and Dorking crosses, and the APA admitted it in 1933. A white dual-purpose fowl that lays white eggs, which is unusual for a heavy American breed. The breed is nearly extinct, and a few projects are working to recreate it.
Care for them the way you would any heavy breed. True Lamonas are vanishingly rare, so ask for the lineage before you pay breed prices.
