Lakenvelder
White-bodied breed with solid black hackle and tail, the 'shadow on a sheet' pattern. It came off the German-Dutch border and is kept now mostly for exhibition. Hens lay a modest number of smallish eggs.
Give them room to range, because a tight pen makes them fret. Cold snaps call for the usual single-comb frostbite care.
