La Fleche

Also known as: Devil Bird

Old French table breed named for the town of La Fleche, black-plumaged with a V-shaped horn comb that earned it the Devil Bird nickname. French cooks prize the fine-textured meat. The breed is rare on both continents.

Keeper's notes

They fly strong and range hard, so fence high or cover the run. House them dry through cold rain. They will keep their distance from you.
