Ko Shamo
A small Japanese exhibition game kept for pose and presence. Upright station, sparse hard feathering, a bare breastbone, and a short pricked tail give it the look of a bird carved from wood. Ko means small; the Shamo family's big cousins tower over it.
These little birds treat people like flockmates and will step onto a hand. Males fight on sight, so pen them apart from a young age. Sparse feathering asks for a dry, draft-free coop in winter. Hens sit tight and mother fiercely.
