Hmong
Fibromelanistic landrace kept by Hmong communities in the Southeast Asian highlands, with black skin and dark meat used in traditional cooking and medicine. Most are black-feathered, and other colors turn up over the same black skin. These are rugged mountain village birds.
In mild weather they look after themselves on range. Cool wet climates call for dry winter shelter. North American stock is scarce, so the birds you find will vary.
