Catalana
The only Mediterranean-class breed counted as dual-purpose, a buff bird with a black tail from the Prat region near Barcelona. Latin American keepers took to it because it handles heat. You will not find many in the US.
Built for heat and for range, so protect the comb when it freezes. Hot summers are where it does best. Wet cold sits further from what the breed was shaped for.
